In the Beginning

Freedom2Support was first thought of in April 2002 by Justin Johnson realised that a support website for freedom2surf customers may be helpful for the internet providers user base. After having encouraging feedback on his idea from a number of freedom2surf customers, these plans were put into action, and a website development team was formed. The name Freedom2Support was then decided to be used, after checking with freedom2surf that this name was okay and would not cause any confusion into thinking we were an official freedom2surf site, the domain was registered, and work on the site started to begin. with much of the content that makes up the backbone of the site today being developed. After several weeks of hard work the website was finally launched on 17th May 2002, with a lot of promising feedback being received on opening day, and widespread appreciation for the work that had gone in to make Freedom2Support THE place to air views and receive help on freedom2surf products and services.

Our Mission

Since the start of our website we've worked hard to improve the website and expand our offerings as the freedom2surf user base and product range has expanded. We've invested in new scripts where we feel they will help the running and end user experience of the website and will continue to do so for the life of Freedom2Support. Our vision for our website is simple. To allow our users to truly use and enjoy their freedom2surf services to the maximum, and making Freedom2Support the one stop shop for everything a freedom2surf user could possibly want from a site such as ourselves. Our website is now recognised by a large section of the freedom2surf user base as the place to go for all the latest freedom2surf news and views. Our News Mailing list continues to grow and now keeps almost 2,000 users updated on the latest news and our forums have over 4,000 registered users with almost 80,000 posts with many more users viewing the forums as guests. Despite Freedom2Support not being officially connected with freedom2surf, representatives from the ISP do post on our forums to give our users updates, and help out users along with the rest of the community as well as making a very generous donation to the website to help us continue offering our users the best service possible.

Putting the Community First

We have a strict policy of no advertising on Freedom2Support, and this will always be stuck to. To put it simply, we're not interested in making financial gains from the website and will always be here for our users, come what may. We do however allow users to donate to our costs, but this is completely optional, and all funds are put back into running the website.
