1 I am not a big fan of speed tests having used several in a row and got very different scores from each one. I dont know which is accurate.
1 I seem to have overlooked this feature
1 It reported back a faster connection than I actually had. Mozilla Firefox 0.9
1 n/a
1 Never tried. The real speed test is when I download a 10MB.
1 Never used it
1 never used it. The FTP program shows speed and generally I am happy.
1 no problems
1 No problems that i recall, but FYI: Mac OS 10.3, Safari & Firefox are my main browsers
1 No problems.. tested it and it worked.
1 None.
1 OS X 10.3.4, Firefox Tried using it but it wouldn't load, even after waiting half an hour.
1 W98SE IE 6 SP1 Low test results in comparison to ADSL Guide
1 windows 2000 IE 5.5 it always gives a low reading
1 Windows XP and IE 6 Shows slow speed although other tests show a more realistic speed
1 Windows XP Home. Mozilla Firefox 0.9.3 I've found that its not always accurate - sometimes it gives me a figure of 300kb download for my 512Kb connection, and yet downloading a large file just after gives me a full download speed of 58KB/sec. But this has only happened about twice.
1 Windows XP pro, Mozilla Firefox 0.92 Speed test will not work unless 'Norton Internet Security 2003' is disabled, possibly a firewall / ad blocking problem. thus it is easier to use someone elses, ie adsl guide

26. In what ways do you feel freedom2surf can improve?
# Response
1 -Provide 24/7 support -Implement a ticketing system for contacting customer support/services (similar to plusnet - allows one issue to the tracked much easier and provides a permanent record of questions/responses) -Adding a service status indicator for gw6 -Providing more FAQs and tutorials on the f2s website -Allowing the user to change the 'from' address on the f2s webmail -Showing graphs for usage data
1 1. Web site information 2. Accounts
1 :Website needs updating. :When i was Signing up i rang the sales team and found a very rude woman on the phone. I guess she must be asked the same questions all the time and getting fedup, but she needs to understand that its important to us. :Dropping the price to tempt 512k to upgrade to 1mb. :the ablity to configure emails to be forwarded or send a away message to people when away. :Bigger webspace
1 Advertising the incentive to recruit a friend (I have done so now for 2 people). What handle do I use as a reference? One MAJOR niggle is not being allowed '.' in my username. I would MUCH prefer mark.ewen@f2s.com rather than markewen@f2s.com. If this could be changed it would be GREAT! Same for my wife - louise.
1 Allow migration to other ISPs
1 As a freedom2surf customer of only a week it's a bit early for me to judge!
1 Better newsfeeds!
1 Better newsgroup server
1 Better setup instructions for new broadband members
1 better speed..
1 Better support hours and allow database users to use as much of their webspace as they wish for database use unstead of 5mb. I will be moving providers simply because of this.
1 Better support information. eg, compare with Zen Internet
1 Better Web Page
1 better www.f2s.com interface, more options or features on the Member Area. maybe a few gif's showing people looking into ADSL wat the advantafes are. Also the price of Modem on 512k Uncapped is very pricey maybe offer a cheaper one say £30.
1 By being more proactive in informing customers, e.g. possibility of moving to capped 1MB for same cost. By advising all customers of Freedom2Suport when account initially opened.
1 By replying to letters.
1 Can they improve ?
1 Can't find anything to complain of.
1 Charge of the activation fee if leaving within twelve months could be stopped - you could be loosing customers to Virgin.net because of this (particularly customers who move house a lot).
1 cheaper prices for uncapped service
1 Cheaper prices, better support options, more interaction with its customers, such as a live chat once in a while; A better announcements page on their website, including downtime, etc...
1 Cheaper pricing for 1MB(Uncapped), Web and e-mail hosting (or more space for that amount) and 2MB(Uncapped)
1 cheaper!
1 cleaner more profesional website and account pages
1 Don't even think about capping the 512k product.
1 F2support wasn't clearly advertised, i merely stumbled across it, possibly a joining info pack would be good? F2surf is good and easy to use for non-geeks but i found getting lost quite easy ie not finding the same page twice, i also think it would be good to use same theme as f2support.
1 Free for the over 60s
1 Get afew tips from freedom2support websites on forums etc.. as most information you require is in front of you. Ive recommended both websites to family and friends who have become new customers.
1 Give us more information about the services they do. EG - you just asked me a question about their news server - but I didn't know they offered this!
1 have the website updated more often and have official tech support at weekends.
1 I am very happy with it as it is
1 I have quite a bit of people
1 I sometimes forget my password for the site and it has not been easy to find how to get a reminder/hint sent to me
1 I think charging customers who have been with them over 6 months a regrade fee from the Pure IP home user package to the Connect packages is a bit tight. I think it should be free.
1 i'm held back from updrading to a 1024 adsl line because i live just outside the 5 mile radius. This isnt really f2s fault but its an issue i find very vexing.
1 Improve the looks & layout, I find it looks very drab.
1 improve their website content and extend customer service hours. answer e mails!!!
1 Increase the limits on the capped home user 1Mbit products to 5GB and 20GB (from 1GB and 5GB) to encourage takeup.
1 Last week I visited my borther in Germany. He's on a similar package that I'm on. Why is it that we still pay so much (comparitavly)? His T-Online tarif is: 1500 MG linit per month (mine 1000MB) Additionaly MB €1.59/£1.07 (mine £2.99 for the next GB) Speeds for 1mb/s, 2 mb/s or 3mb/s (mine up to 1mb/s) Monthly subscription €9.95/£6.74 (mine £14.99) Source: http://www2.service.t-online.de/dyn/c/22/07/81/2207812.html (in german but the figurst speak for themself). Is ti BT that's screwing us all again?
1 Let current subscribers move to lower tariffs. I use 512kb unlimited, maybe 1Mb with a download limit would be better for my needs.
1 longer support hours on phone
1 Longer support hours. It's nearly impossable for me to give freedom to surf a ring during office hours while at work.
1 Lots of room for improved Customer Service responsiveness and information. Lower prices on higher speed ADSL and SDSL.
1 lower price for adsl.
1 Lower the uncapped 1mb price
1 Main area would be more competitive pricing for 1/2MB uncapped products.
1 Make prices competitive, and upgrade Web hosting OS/Software
1 Make sure that they keep the unmetered packages and review the price structure of these. F2S was one of the cheapest 512K packages when i started however i have noticed cheaper unmetered packages about. however i suspect these won't have the reliability that F2S does.
1 Make the home page more exciting. Give a detailed explanation about VOIP rather than just how to set up Babble. Reduce charges!!
1 Making their pricing packages cheaper.
1 Many ADSL service providers have recently responded to the glut of cheap "broadband" deals available [£20 for 128 Kbps etc.] by increasing the bandwidth available to existing subscribers. For example, I also have a 1Mbps cable connection, which has recently been upgraded free to 1.5Mbit. Apparently, others will upgrade a 512 Kbps connection to 705 Kbps. In my opinion, F2s was the best value for money service available in the UK when I decided to sign up to it. Despite the excellent quality of service that is provided by F2S, I'm not so sure that it is still the best valye for money. If you really want my opinion, Broadband is still very much in it's infancy. If F2S can offer people more "bits-per-buck" than any other provider, there will be a queue of people wanting to sign up to F2S. As long as the network has the capacity to serve all those potential users, F2S could remain one step ahead of it's competitors. It's worth remembering that people only sign up to A.O.L. & the like because they don't know any better!!! F2S could change all of this!!!!! F2S could become the market leader by sacrificing a little short term profit for a longer term gain, both for itself and it's subscribers.
1 may be some form of written communication when you enrol a customer. I think this might give you a more professional 'look' although I can see this putting up the costs indirectly. I have already recommended 3 friends to f2s in the last few months...
1 More consistancy in their speeds, sometimes get fluxuations in speed.
1 More information on Tutorial - VoIP is very lacking for a newby
1 More support on there own website. A Better usable website. Improved web hosting, Reduced pries on un capped 1mb
1 More tailor-made options. More information about the provided hardware.
1 More user friendly web site. Most information is there but not obviously accessible.
1 New website, better response times to technical support e-mails, weekend coverage.
1 News server could be majorly improved by having a larger number of groups, and binarie groups to be made available. F2S needs to reduce the price of uncapped 512Kbpps to maye £21 or £20 to keep up wiht the competetion, and to keep customers happy.
1 No suggestions. Just keep up the good service.
1 Notifications to the website hosting customers when they are going to improve o doing some changes on the modules and versions they are going to habilitate
1 Offer home users 1.0 & 2.0 mbps speeds at ~£30 and £40 respectively. Offer ANYTHING with upload speeds > 256 kbps. Espically in combination with the above. I would pay ~£80/mo (inc. VAT) for 8 down and 2 up. mmmm
1 Offer more competitive rates.
1 offering better and cheaper website domains and hosting. I would buy from them but currently from 123-reg.co.uk as they are cheaper and the administration for the domains couldnt be easier.
1 Price reviews are needed badly, that's about all i would say, oh and maybe a bit more support hours, not that its
